Castile soap, named after a famous region in Spain, is a type of soap made from plant oils. It is an ecological product that is bio-degradable, apart from being wonderful for the skin. Not to mention, it can have various purposes. here are some of the things you can replace by Castile soap:
Homemade Face Wash
Pour one quarter cup of liquid Castile soap in a foaming dispenser, then fill it to the top with one cup distilled water. Add five drops of tea tree oil.
Mix 1 small tablespoon of Castile soap with one containing coconut milk. Store it in the fridge.
Homemade Hand Soap
Fill a foaming hand soap dispenser with three quarters of water (boiled or distilled) and one quarter of unscented liquid Castile soap.
Homemade Dish Soap
Replace your regular soap with Castile soap. It is natural and effective, thus much better that anything you might buy in a store.
Homemade All Purpose Cleaner
Fill a quarter of a spray bottle with vinegar, add water to the top, then a squirt of liquid Castile soap and a few drops of tea tree essential oil.
Homemade Laundry Detergent
1 cup of liquid Castile soap
1 cup of baking soda
2 cups of water
1/3 cup of salt
Mix the baking soda and the salt in two cups of warm water. Pour it into a gallon container, add the liquid Castile soap and fill to the top with water. Use 1/4 of a cup per load and you will have enough for 64 loads.
Homemade Glass Cleaner
Mix half a cup of white vinegar, two teaspoons of liquid Castile soap and two cups of distilled warm water. Put the mixture into a spray bottle and make sure to shake it well before using.
Homemade Tub Scrub
Fill a spray bottle with one third Castile soap and two thirds water. Spread baking soda around the bath and spray the Castile soap mixture on it. Scrub with a scouring pad or scrub brush.
